The Detroit Pistons made history – not the type of history a team would like to make – in the NBA as the franchise lost its 27th game in a row in a single season.

After starting the season with a 2-1 record, the Pistons have struggled a lot so far, collecting nothing but losses. Of course, times like these do not help the managers, the staff, and neither the players, but they know they have to stick together to get back.

The team’s guard Cade Cunningham knows it, and while he tries to carry the team with his performances – he scored 41 points in his last game against the Brooklyn Nets – he also tries to keep the morale as high as possible.

“A lot of my positivity comes from just the joy of the game … but there’s nothing positive about this situation right now that we’ve put ourselves in,” he said. “So that’s why we’ve got to dig deep and get ourselves out.”

Of course, the fans expressed their frustration and delusion chanting “sell the team” towards the Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores. The latter had shared a positive message before the holidays, highlighting the team’s good qualities.

“We have a good core. We have a good foundation. We have all these young players. And we have flexibility,” Gore said. “So we have to not panic and do the right thing, execute, and have urgency. So that’s our balance.”
