Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said he expects a more competitive grid in 2024 after his team dominated the year’s Formula 1 World Championship with Max Verstappen claiming the drivers’ title.
The Austrian team owned by the Energy Drinks company won the constructors’ championship with a total of 860 points, a gap of 451 points to second-placed Mercedes-AMG.
However, speaking with the Media, Horner said he expects such advantage to shrink in 2024.
“I think with stable regulations, we know that the field will converge,” he said. “We’ve seen that at different points during the course of the past year.
“We have to improve, we have to keep evolving. And I think all aspects of RB19 are being looked at to evolve into RB20 and hopefully make it even stronger because I’m sure that’s what our competitors will be looking to do.”
