The Monza circuit has yesterday begun with project to renovate the facilities and resurface the track.

The circuit officials held a ceremony on Monday to mark the beginning of the renovation project.

The 5.7-kilometer track will be resurfaced and the drainage systems will undergo renovation work. Additionally, facilities such as grandstands at the first chicane will be replaced and the Paddock Club will be covered.

The renovation work will be completed before the Formula 1 Grand Prix in September. However, it has affected the World Endurance Championship, as they had to relocate their Italian round for the 2024 season to Imola.
