Simone Resta, Haas technical director, has left the American outfit ahead of the 2024 season. It is still unclear what his next role will be.
Resta had joined the team in 2021 after leaving Ferrari. Despite the idea of creating an even stronger partnership between the Scuderia and Haas, the latter has not managed to improve in terms of performance as much as expected.
That is proven by the fact that Haas finished last in the constructor championship last year, with issues regarding especially the race pace performance. Even after developing updates, results still did not come.
Resta – loaned by Ferrari to Haas – has officially left the team. That does not mean he will go back to the Scuderia, but that might be a possible move. Another option could be joining Sauber ahead of the new rules change coming into the sport in 2026.
