NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said that he has “no doubt” the In-Season Tournament will be back next season after its great success.
Silver stated that the league is happy with how the tournament went, and it will be happy to bring it back in 2024, maybe with a few little changes. After meeting with team presidents, Silver said that they discussed possible tweaks to the competition.
They talked about “how to break tiebreakers, to what the courts look like, to the name of the overall tournament.
“Beyond that, as we’re talking to television partners and maybe figuring out exactly when the best time of year is to (hold the tournament),” he said. “Maybe it will make sense to make some other modifications to the format.”
