F1 champion Lewis Hamilton will move to Ferrari in 2025 and team up with Charles Leclerc, replacing current driver Carlos Sainz.
It was reported by Sky Sports F1, and no official statement has been made yet.
It is understood that negotiations between the 7-time World Champion and the Maranello-based team are at an advanced stage and set to conclude by the end of this week.
Both Ferrari and Mercedes declined to comment.
The Silver Arrows have been struggling for the last two seasons, and frustrations were recurrent.
It is expected that team principal Toto Wolff will address the news later this afternoon.
If true, it remains to be seen how a partnership between Hamilton and Leclerc will develop, as in one hand we have a young driver that’s eager to win his first championship, while in the other we have an experienced champion that wants to break the record of Michael Schumacher.
This is a developing story.
