RB F1 Team has denied that it will move its headquarters from Italy to Britain after rumors suggesting it. However, a new facility is being built in Milton Keynes.
Red Bull and RB F1 Team have strengthened their partnership for the 2024 season. This created a bit of discontent among other teams, as this new stronger relationship could help former AlphaTauri to become more competitive.
Rumors also suggested that RB could move its headquarters from Faenza, in Italy, all the way to Milton Keynes, in Britain, where Red Bull has its own facilities. However, the team’s new team principal, Laurent Mekies, explained that it is true that RB is building a new establishment in Britain, but Faenza will remain its HQ.
“We have a very good facility in Faenza, and we think the base is very good to build on,” explained Mekies.
“But we are not happy with what we have in Bicester today in terms of infrastructure. We don’t think we put our guys in the best possible position there, simply because of the history of it.
“It was a very small facility that got outgrown. And we had it because we were using our wind tunnel in Bicester, which is not the case anymore.
“We are building a brand-new headquarters in Milton Keynes, outside the Red Bull campus, and that’s going to be state-of-the-art facilities in the same way that we have a high-level facility in Faenza.”
