Sergio Perez has confirmed that the team is not distracted by what’s going on off-track, but is fully focused on racing and how to improve race after race.

The Milton Keynes-based outfit clinched a 1-2 finish in Bahrain, showing its superiority once again. However, the Mexican driver still thinks there are a few things that aren’t perfect and can be improved.

“The team is working – there are still a lot of things we can tidy up in the race from Bahrain, and that is the main energy.

“From my point of view, it is what I am focusing on, improving what we did in Bahrain, that is our main objective.”

Despite that, many still talk more about what’s happening off the track rather than concentrating on on-track performance. However, Perez said that the Horner investigation is a matter of the past and the team has more important things to focus on.

“Well, I think it is now all behind us.

“We are a race team at the end of the day, and we are here to race and focus to deliver on track.

“Off-track, doing the work with the team at home, you have to remember Red Bull is a huge team and our main focus is on the racing side, simple as that.”

“We basically speak about the racing side. We know this is behind us and I appreciate he is the team principal and the CEO and everything will keep going like it’s been before.

“To be honest, we have been mainly speaking about the race in Bahrain, how it went, and how we can improve. That’s been the main focus for all of us.”
