In the early Wednesday afternoon, FIA published a new calendar for next year’s top junior single-seaters, Formula 2 and Formula 3.

The racing calendar of both F2 and F3 avoided any venue changes after (re)introducing Lusail International Circuit for the 2024 edition.

With that said all 10 and 14 venues respectively have signed an extended contract to host Formula 1’s ‘Paddock Feeder Series’

Tweaks within the calendar schedule are only called Formula 1’s tweaks. Therefore, F2 and F3 will open the season in Melbourne, instead of a traditional Middle Eastern leg in Sakhir and Jeddah (F2 exclusively).

It is also worth stressing how critics of a lengthened F2 calendar have been ignored with the infamous ‘2-month-fall break’ between Monza/Baku and Lusail/Abu Dhabi still in the present.

Another minor shift concerns the European Summer leg in late July and early August with Budapest and Spa switching positions per the F1 calendar.

This weekend F2 and F3 will continue with their journey when they visit Monaco’s harbour for the fourth round of F3 and fifth round of F2, respectively.
