Lando Norris went fastest ahead of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton around Zandvoort in FP1.
The drivers went out with full wet tires at the start of the session since the track was very wet.
Many struggled with traction like Nico Hülkenberg who went on the gravel twice. The track got a bit better until it was finally possible to switch to intermediate tires.
Sergio Perez and Pierre Gasly struggled to keep the car on track since the track was still slippery.
In the final minutes, it was dry enough for slick tires. Norris was fastest on the softs, with Verstappen 0.2s behind and Hamilton 0.6 behind.
Everybody used soft tires except for the two Ferrari drivers who went out on mediums.
