A stunning weekend for Ferrari at the Circuit of the Americas ended with their first double victory since the 2022 Bahrain GP. Spanish driver Carlos Sainz followed his teammate, race winner Charles Leclerc, to the checkered flag at the 2024 US Grand Prix.

This marked Sainz’s first podium finish since Spielberg, as the departing driver prepares to join Williams in 2025.

Pleased with his 2nd place, Carlos Sainz was full of praise for the significant improvement in Ferrari’s 2024 machine.

Tyre management, one of the Italian team’s biggest weaknesses in previous seasons, now seems to be a thing of the past.

According to the 2nd-place finisher, these issues are ‘well and truly behind’ the Maranello team.

“It’s definitely the strength of the car this year, how long we can go on. It’s something that I really enjoy and something that has made me enjoy racing a lot more this year than I what I did last year.”

“Last year we spent all of the races defending losing position. This year it looks like we just can go and know the don’t think too much about tyres and just push and overtake.” – Sainz concluded.
