As Haas’ driver Kevin Magnussen feels unwell, the team announced that Oliver Bearman will drive for them again during FP1, sprint qualifying, and the sprint race.
The mentioned sessions are those that Bearman is set to drive for sure, meanwhile, the American outfit will evaluate whether Magnussen’s conditions will allow him to jump back into the car to drive on Sunday at least.
“Kevin Magnussen will not participate in Friday’s track running at the São Paulo Grand Prix after suffering with sickness,” Haas’ official statement read.
“Official reserve driver Oliver Bearman will take over driving duties. The team wishes Kevin a quick recovery and will provide a further update in due course.”
This is going to be Bearman’s third Formula 1 race, his second with Haas. The Britton had previously driven for Ferrari in Jeddah as he replaced Carlos Sainz. Plus, he also drove in Baku with the American team since Magnussen had received a ban for one race.
