After Formula 1, even the FIA issued a statement regarding the ongoing investigation concerning Red Bull team principal Christian Horner.
The latter is now at the center of an investigation that started when a female employee accused him of improper behaviors. Despite the Briton denying all the allegations and being present at the RB20 presentation, further rumors came out the following day. Thus, both F1 and the FIA released statements regarding the matter.
“In relation to the independent investigation currently being undertaken by Red Bull GMbH, the FIA reiterates that, until such time as the investigation has concluded, and the outcome is known, we will not be commenting further,” said the FIA to Motorsport.com.
“The FIA remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, fairness, and inclusivity within the sport.”
Meanwhile, Formula 1’s statement, released on Sunday, reads:
“We have noted that Red Bull has instigated an independent investigation into internal allegations at Red Bull Racing,” said the statement from F1.
“We hope that the matter will be clarified at the earliest opportunity, after a fair and thorough process, and we will not comment further at this time.”
Before the RB20 unveiling, Horner hinted that he would remain at Red Bull. Max Verstappen even denied issues between himself and his team principal. However, the situation seems more complicated, but the wisest thing to do is wait for an official final statement.
