The Times reports that Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is set to be cleared of any wrongdoing following an internal investigation for inappropriate conduct.
A statement is expected later on Wednesday. It is unclear if Horner will remain as team principal, but reports say the independent investigation has cleared him of wrondoing.
Horner and advisor Helmut Marko were on their way to Bahrain for the upcoming Grand Prix on Saturday.
The British principal was under investigation since early January after an employee reported him for “inappropriate conduct.”
Then, it was revealed days before the team launch that the subject of the investigation was “sexual misconduct.”
Horner had denied all allegations, but recently refused to comment on the matter during press conferences at the pre-season testing.
He had also said that it was “business as usual” and that the team was focusing on the F1 season ahead.
Update: Red Bull has confirmed the news and released a statement.
