Daniel Ricciardo will be replaced by Ayumu Iwasa during the Japanese Grand Prix FP1, Helmut Marko confirmed.
This is part of the team’s program to let a rookie drive in one free practice session, which is compulsory by the rules.
RB F1 Team will run an all-Japanese line-up since Iwasa will partner Yuki Tsunoda, making it a great day for the Japanese fans at the track.
Marko said that Suzuka should be a good track for the RB F1 Team. Thus, this might help Iwasa to gain more confidence quickly.
“On Friday we will use our young pilot Ayumu Iwasa in practice, an All-Nippon team.
“What’s more, the Suzuka circuit should suit the Racing Bulls’ car.”
