Both Williams and Red Bull unveiled special liveries for their home Grand Prix in Silverstone, featuring the Union Jack flag and some red stallion.
The first team to present the livery was Williams, which put a huge Union Jack flag on the engine cover. The latter will be featuring all the 1005 team members’ names.
James Vowles, the team principal, said that it’s always a great idea to thank the members of the staff.
“Silverstone is always one of the highlights of the year, and I’m delighted we are thanking our staff as the centerpiece of our home race celebrations,” he said.
“Williams is transforming from top to bottom so we can fight our way back to the front, and our people and culture will be key to that success.
“It takes extraordinary effort from every individual at the factory and at the track to race in Formula1, and I’m especially proud of the resilience whilst under pressure we have demonstrated so far this year.”
Red Bull also wanted to do something special for their home Grand Prix. The new livery, which is fan-made, features some red. It was done to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the team since it joined the sport.
“Following the success of our customized fan liveries last year, we are proud to be running fan-designed liveries once again on our cars for 2024,” said Christian Horner.
“REBL CUSTMS has handed our most loyal supporters, a very special canvas in the RB20 and The Paddock has brought their vision to life.
“Our fans sit at the heart of all we do, and I am very happy they get to play such an important part in our journey.
“I watched all the entries roll in, and it is incredible to see the ingenuity and creativity of The Paddock members come to life in such an expressive manner. In our 20th season in the sport, it is a timely tribute to years gone by, and I can’t wait to see the RED Bull charge out at Silverstone this weekend.”
