Pierre Gasly topped the FP3 session ahead of Kevin Magnussen and Valtteri Bottas. The session was red-flagged as Logan Sargeant wrecked his car and heavily damaged the barriers.

The FP3 also saw wet conditions, with the typical Dutch weather striking the track once again.

Nico Hülkenberg and Oscar Piastri were brave enough to go out on track with full wet tires. After them, even Kevin Magnussen, Yuki Tsunoda, Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll, and Fernando Alonso went out for some laps.

The weather forecast suggested that the conditions should improve in the afternoon, but should qualifying see similar conditions, getting some confidence on the wet track will be key.

Meanwhile, Hülkenberg made a mistake and broke his front wing. Luckily for him, he managed to get back to the pits. Not only the German, but also Alonso and Magnussen had issues with traction, especially under braking.

George Russell also went wide in turn 1, and right after Logan Sargeant crashed too. It was a heavy hit in sector one and the car was completely wrecked. There was also fire on the back of his Williams, but the American driver managed to leave the car on his own. The session was red-flagged.

Meanwhile, the leaderboard saw Alonso in P1, ahead of Piastri and Stroll. Only 10 drivers set a time and the session couldn’t be green-flagged for a long time since the marshals had to repair the barriers.

The FIA then announced that the session would resume with only 5 minutes remaining. Despite that, the FIA later said that the green flag would be deployed with only 3 minutes remaining.

Finally, the session resumed and everybody went out with intermediate tires as the track was still damp. It was pure chaos as everyone wanted to set at least one lap.

In the end, Pierre Gasly was the fastest, with Magnussen and Valtteri Bottas in P2 and P3. It was a rather hectic end to the session, so the times didn’t really mean much.
