Lando Norris dominated the Singapore GP even though he risked throwing away the victory twice. Max Verstappen was second, with Oscar Piastri ending in P3.

For the first time after scoring a pole position, Lando Norris managed to keep the lead of the race after the first lap. It was a great start for Sergio Perez, too, who went up to P10. Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz was down to P12.

Franco Colapinto also recovered many positions and was up to P9. Lewis Hamilton kept the third position with soft tires, the only one of the leaders, as the other drivers were on mediums.

Norris wasn’t managing the pace to keep the field together but was pushing to create a gap.

The first two drivers to pit were Daniel Ricciardo and Alexander Albon, meanwhile, at the front of the race there wasn’t much action, with Norris pushing to get away from Max Verstappen.

On lap 14, Sainz anticipated his pit stop and fitted hard tires. Albon then slowed down and went back to the pits as his Williams seemed to have an issue. Hamilton also changed tires and went on hards on lap 18.

On lap 25, the gap between Norris and Verstappen was 20 seconds, neither of them had made a pit stop. One lap later, Fernando Alonso pitted for hard tires. Two laps later, George Russell dived into the pits, too.

After almost 30 laps behind Alonso and Nico Hülkenberg, Charles Leclerc finally managed to get rid of the German and was in clean air. Meanwhile, Perez pitted. One lap later, his teammate stopped, too.

Norris had damaged his front wing as he went wide and slightly touched the barriers. There was no need to change his wing during the pit stop on lap 31, but he seemed to struggle. The damage was not enough to hinder his performance, though.

Piastri was the last one to pit and rejoined behind the two Mercedes. He immediately overtook Hamilton and started chasing Russell for the podium. Leclerc was sixth after the pit stop, as the team asked Sainz to let him through.

Piastri caught Russell and challenged him for P3. On lap 45, the Australian managed to overtake the Mercedes driver. Norris took another huge risk, as he clipped the wall in the exact same place where Russell crashed last year, but no further damage.

Meanwhile, Leclerc overtook Hamilton and went up to P5. Kevin Magnussen was going slowly as he suffered a puncture.

With just 4 laps to go, Leclerc reached Russell for P4. The Ferrari driver was very close, but the Britton had great traction. In the end, Leclerc could not overtake Russell.

Norris brought home an important win for the championship, with Verstappen second and Piastri third. Hülkenberg did a great job by finishing in P9 ahead of Perez. Alonso also did a good job as he ended up in P8. Colapinto, in his third Formula 1 race, almost scored another point but could only finish P11.
