The Qualifying session for the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix has been postponed to Sunday following heavy rain.

The session was scheduled to begin at 3 PM local time, but heavy rain began about an hour earlier following the end of the Sprint Race.

Updates from race control kept delaying the start of the session with 15-minute intervals, but by 5 PM F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali confirmed qualifying would not run on Saturday, with plans to move it to Sunday.

The FIA is yet to release an update regarding the situation, but teams already started packing up for the day.
