Mercedes technical director James Allison has officially extended his contract with Mercedes Formula 1 team.
Allison joined the Brakley-based outfit in 2017, and since then, he has enjoyed great success with the team. The news of his contract extension surely is a positive note for Mercedes, considering that even Toto Wolff signed a long-term deal a few days ago.
“It is a great privilege to continue this adventure,” said Allison. “Working alongside brilliant colleagues and fighting together for championship success.”
Allison later continued by saying that stability inside the team is crucial. Therefore, he is happy that both he and Wolff are staying with Mercedes in the future.
“I think it is definitely helpful for a team to know that it has stability. It is certainly a big deal for us to know that we have that stability with Toto, and I hope in a smaller way that the folk here will be reassured to know that that’s the case.”
